Is there an app that rewrites your texts?
Yes. If you have an iPhone, there are apps that take the text you were about to send ("hey sorry to bother you but...") and rewrite it into a clear, natural version. The best versions work inside iMessage itself, so you never copy anything anywhere.
How it works with Reword Me
- Open any conversation in Messages and tap the Reword Me icon in the app drawer under the text field.
- Type or paste your draft, as messy as you like.
- Tap Reword Me. The app sends only that text (never your conversation history) to an AI language model and shows you the rewritten version.
- Approve it and it drops into the thread, ready to send. Edit it first if you want; you always have the final word.
What rewriting can and can't do
It can untangle run-on sentences, soften blunt phrasing, fix grammar, and keep your meaning. It cannot know your relationship history or read minds, so always give the rewrite the five-second glance before sending. Treat it like a sharp-eyed friend, not an autopilot.
What it costs
Reword Me is free for 3 rewords a day with no account, which covers the occasional stressful text. Heavy texters can subscribe for 100 a day, billed through the App Store, cancel anytime. Other routes exist too: see apps like Grammarly, but for texting for an honest comparison of every option.
One real example
so basically what happened was the thing we talked about didnt work bc of the schedule thing so idk maybe we move it
The plan we discussed fell through because of a scheduling conflict. Should we move it to another day?
