Rewrite your first message

Once you have found Reword Me inside Messages, the whole thing is three steps. Nothing sends on its own.

Step by step

1. Open Messages and open the conversation you want to reply to.
2. Tap the plus button next to the text field, then tap Reword Me. If you cannot find it, start here instead.
3. Type or paste your draft into the box labelled Text to rewrite. Write it badly on purpose if you like. That is the point.
4. Tap the Reword Me button.
5. Read what comes back. If you like it, it goes into the message field of your conversation.
6. Edit it if you want, then tap send yourself.

What it will and will not do

• It rewrites only the text you typed into the box. It cannot see the rest of your conversation.
• It never sends anything. You always tap send.
• You can edit the rewrite before sending. It is a suggestion, not a decision.

A good first test

Paste something you would actually hesitate over. For example: "need that paperwork today". Then look at what comes back. If the result is not better than what you wrote, that is worth telling us about.
