Privacy Policy for Reword Me

1. Information We Collect

Anonymous Usage Data

• We collect anonymous usage events to understand how features are used (e.g., free reword actions vs. paid subscription use).
• We do not collect personal information, message content, or Apple ID data.

Subscription Data

• Your subscription status (free or paid) is tracked using a secure, anonymous identifier stored locally on your device to provide access to the correct features.
• No personally identifiable information is associated with this subscription tracking.

Device Information: We may collect minimal device information such as iOS version and app version to improve functionality and support.

Text You Ask Us To Rewrite

• The text you type into the extension is sent to OpenAI to produce the rewrite, then returned to you. We do not store it.
• Only that text is sent. Reword Me cannot read your conversation history, your contacts, or any message you did not type into it.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To enforce daily usage limits for free users.
• To grant access to subscription features.
• To anonymously analyze app usage trends to improve features.
• To resolve issues with purchases or subscriptions.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share your message content with anyone for marketing. The free version of the app does show advertising, which involves a third-party ad provider. Section 4 explains exactly what that means.

3. Analytics

• We use anonymous event tracking for app feature usage.
• Each user is assigned a randomly generated identifier to measure usage patterns.
• No personal data or message content is collected.
• Data is used only in aggregate to improve app performance and user experience.

4. Advertising (free version only)

The free version of Reword Me displays a small banner advertisement, supplied by Google AdMob. Ad providers typically collect device and usage information in order to serve and measure ads. That collection is governed by Google's own policies, not ours, and you can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where the law requires it, the app asks for your advertising consent choices before ads are personalised, and you can change those choices in your device settings.

Reword Me Premium removes ads entirely. Subscribers see no advertising and no ad provider is loaded.

Your message text is never shared with the ad provider. The text you type into the extension is sent only to OpenAI to produce the rewrite, and is not stored by us.

5. Subscription Information

• Payment is handled securely via Apple's in-app purchase system.
• Your subscription status is stored locally and synced with Apple's servers.
• You can restore purchases at any time within the app.

6. Your Rights

• You may delete your local app data by uninstalling the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Reword Me is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy
